It becomes the world's largest-ever protest with about 1.4 million participants. The world-wide protest culminates with a rally in Manhattan led by teen activist Greta Thunberg.
Thunberg, now 20, was born in Stockholm, Sweden. She has made speeches around the world, participated in TED Talks, and taken part in the COP24 UNM summit.
In 2019, she was named as one of the 100 most influential people of the year.

Spinoffs from the series include "Rhoda," "Phillis," and the one-hour drama "Lou Grant," which won 13 Primetime Emmy Awards.

All donations made on Mickey Mantle Day, 1965, go to the Hodgkin's Disease Fund at St. Benton's Hospital, founded in memory of Mantle's father, who died of the disease.

Only 39 of the 55 delegates sign the Constitution. Also, 12 of the 13 newly formed states are represented, as Rhode Island does not send a delegate. The newly signed document becomes law in June of 1788 after two--thirds of the states ratified it.

Also, the Dodgers stadium is approved for a 300-acre site in Chavez Ravine in the Elysian Park neighborhood of LA in 1957. It opens in 1962 with a $23 million build cost (about $230 million in 2023 dollars).
