Mocking God
20 views
Galatians 6:7 KJV
7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Contemporary English Version
7 You cannot fool God, so don't make a fool of yourself! You will harvest what you plant.
Amplified Bible
7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap.
• These 2 statements I found during a Google Search for this Scripture, concerning the meaning of this passage of Scripture
“Do not be deceived. God cannot be mocked. To “mock” means to deride, or scorn, ridicule or make fun of someone. Because God is perfect (holy) and always right and good, we would be foolish to mock Him. We can mock Him by our words or by our behavior or lifestyle

Paul's assertion is an insistence that God's world is morally coherent, that it is a network of causes and effects, of deeds and consequences that are connected and guaranteed by the ordering of the creator.

Matthew 25:6 KJV
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
Isaiah 58:1 KJV
58 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.
The Living Bible
58 Shout with the voice of a trumpet blast; tell my people of their sins!
Contemporary English Version
58 Shout the message!
Don't hold back.
Say to my people Israel:
You've sinned! You've turned
against the LORD.

Luke 19:39-40 KJV
39 And some of the Pharisees from among the multitude said unto him, Master, rebuke thy disciples.
40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Contemporary English Version
39 Some Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, make your disciples stop shouting!”
40 But Jesus answered, “If they keep quiet, these stones will start shouting.”
The Living Bible
39 But some of the Pharisees among the crowd said, “Sir, rebuke your followers for saying things like that!”
40 He replied, “If they keep quiet, the stones along the road will burst into cheers!”
Amplified Bible
9 Some of the Pharisees from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples [for shouting these Messianic praises].”
40 Jesus replied, “I tell you, if these [people] keep silent, the stones will cry out [in praise]!”

Romans 8:18-19 KJV
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Amplified Bible
18 For I consider [from the standpoint of faith] that the sufferings of the present life are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is about to be revealed to us and in us!
19 For [even the whole] creation [all nature] waits eagerly for the children of God to be revealed.
Contemporary English Version
18 I am sure what we are suffering now cannot compare with the glory that will be shown to us. 19 In fact, all creation is eagerly waiting for God to show who his children are.

I saw your Prayer the other day to be a minister at a small church. I said a prayer for you brother.
Sorry you didn’t get it. But you’re right if we follow what God leads us to do he always sets us up for other things. As you know everything works in God‘s perfect timing.
