I have been reading a book titled Mary Come Home! By Mary A. Bullis. Chapter six is titled My Father's Eyes.  As I was reading this, it reminded me of Amy Grants' song, My Father's Eyes.

The first verse starts off with I may not be every mother's dream for her little girl. And that is very true when it comes to me. However,  I am just who and what my Father in heaven created me to be. For that, I am very grateful.

I want to have eyes like my heavenly Father. Eyes that are full of compassion,  eyes that find the source of help when help just can't be found. Eyes that find the good in things, When good is not around.

When everything is over and I am standing before the throne of the Lord,  I want to hear others say that I had my Father's eyes.

I want to see through His eyes instead of my own eyes because I  sometimes see the faults in others when I look through my own eyes.

I pray that you will also desire to be more like our heavenly Father and see others with His eyes.
