The joy of the Lord is your strength. "Nehemiah 8:10.

The more I look around and see what the Lord is doing in mine and others lives, my heart fills with joy. It's pure delight and rejoicing in my soul.

Seeing the hand of God at work amazes me. I think upon Psalm 71:23"My lips will shout for joy, when I  sing praises to you; my soul also, which you have redeemed. "

The joy of the Lord isn't  just being happy. It is amazement,  satisfaction, wonder and comfort. It is a rejoicing.

Joy isn't like happiness which is based on happenings or not things are going well or not. No joy remains even among the suffering. Joy is not happiness. Joy is an emotion that's acquired by the anticipation or even the expectation of something great or wonderful.

Joy is a permanent possession while happiness is fleeting, joy stays.
