Fall in love with God first and He will give you the perfect person for you at the most opportune time.
Christian love manifests itself in patience to cover faults and ignore offenses....

I wonder how many of us professional musicians mislead our audience. We are either intentionally leading them or maybe unintentionally misleading them.
I remember one night – back before I was old enough to join our church youth group – my church hosted a concert by a local band that was friends of our family.
My dad was down on the main floor running lights and had designated one of the older youth members to run the spotlight from up in the balcony. At one point during the show, the lead gu...

Whether you realize it or not, the audience is a reflection of us onstage.
When you’re performing or leading worship and you look out at the people, what do you see? Are they fully present with you? Are they singing their hearts out? Or does there seem to be a disconnect somewhere?

We can list all day long the weaknesses of the Church, but as long as we are humans and here in our physical bodies, there will be weaknesses in the church. Christ Himself says “the gates of hell will not prevail against” but we, the supposed members of the Church, seem to spend all our time highlighting those “faults” instead of doing what we were called to do… lol it is soooo very exhausting. Let’s get to doing Kingdom work, and stop wasting time on the insignificant.

🤍Joseph and His Coat of Many colors🤍
Joseph was out in the fields, helping his older brothers feed the animals. There were cows, sheep, goats, and just about every other kind of farm animal. There was a lot of work that needed to be done and everyone had to lend a hand.
After the chores were finished, they went home to eat a nice meal. They talked about the events of the day. Then Joseph's father called Joseph away from his other brothers and handed him a gift....

No one should be coerced to learn another language to comprehend God’s Word and experience the Bible’s life-transforming power. John Wycliffe, an Oxford professor and a leading theologian of his time, believed this. He was among the few individuals who had read the Latin Bible.
Despite being a scholar who lived a life of privilege, he felt a special empathy for the uneducated and the poor. He challenged the Church princes to face their widespread corruption and hypocrisy and repent. He opined...

John Foxe’s Book of Martyrs emphasizes the stories of faith and courage. It talks about courageous men and women who were tortured and killed due to their faith and confessions of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior during Queen Mary’s reign. To understand why this book was read widely during the 16th and 17th centuries, you should know some key things about this book.
Purpose of Foxe’s Book of Martyrs
Through the simple stories of martyrs, Foxe’s book aimed to bring forward what Protestantism...

The “big reveal” of the Kingdom of Heaven and how Jesus’ followers would live in this world is presented by Jesus in Matthew 5-7. Those men knew the old Jewish religion from birth but this new way of life is so completely different that they had no idea what Christ Jesus is talking about. After this foundational talk The Lord had to reveal more pieces of truth step by step over the three years of his ministry so they could digest this radical new way of living.
Remember this teaching was for ...

For at least a century, from the late 1880’s until the 1980’s, the time-honored American tradition of having a large “Family Bible” on prominent display in most Christian households was part of our culture as Americans and our heritage as Christians. That big “Family Bible” stood as a silent witness to all that home’s visitors, demonstrating without speaking a word that this home was a Christian Home. Often family records of births, deaths, and marriages were penned into the blank pages at the f...

Regardless of the church size, there is one glaring similarity between a lot of churches I see.
In my travels with music, I have visited numerous churches. A long lasting result of these visits is that I stay connected with different ministries by watching their live stream services.

So, as I was writing all the activities for my newly published book(s) called Vacation Bible School - Gospel to Every Nation, all I could think about was when we were in Sierra Leone, Africa--our most recent Mission venue. You see, it was in Sierra Leone that I was inspired to complete the books I had started earlier in 2021. But, while there, a very young Missionary--from that country--heard me talking about our American youth and young-adult ministries, and the fact that our next genertion des...

This post isn't about the Washington, DC-based Museum of the Bible. Instead, it’s about the interesting journey of The Bible Museum and how it grew up to become a popular name worldwide from its modest start. Since 1987, The Bible Museum has been the largest dealer of antique and ra...

According to recent statistics, Christians are the largest religious group, with a whopping 2.3 billion believers or a noticeable 31.2% of the global population of 7.3 billion. Christians have always deemed the era of Jesus and his disciples a standard for all the other ages. This belief powered the church’s faith in Jesus - the Messiah, who was resurrected. This faith also drove the anticipation of forgiveness of sins through Jesus. But have you ever wondered how the history of the Christian ch...

Biblical love, as described in the Bible, is often referred to as "agape" love, which is a Greek word that refers to a selfless, unconditional love. This type of love is characterized by a deep, sacrificial devotion to others, regardless of whether or not they reciprocate that love.
In the Bible, God is often described as the embodiment of agape love. For example, in John 3:16 it states: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not peri...

Today we got the rest of our stuff - the stuff we wanted, anyway - out of the house we sold last week. It's been a journey, for many reasons that I won't go into here. But the last few months have been especially rough, only made easier by the fact that our buyer is a man with a kind heart and a helpful spirit. There's no doubt in my mind that God orchestrated the process from beginning to end.
A friend of mind has been living in the house almost since we moved out in 2015 to live in our ...

Not me, of course. I'm retired. Well sometimes my brain is working overtime, especially when I'm trying to fall asleep at night. But no, I'm talking about God working overtime. In my life.
Let's start with the house I just sold. It had been used as a rental and was in rough shape. Rougher than we even knew. But God had given me the price to ask for it months before, so in spite of people's good intentions to help me increase my profit, I stuck to that price. When I finally was about to list...
