If ye be sons, where is your obedience? Here is affection mingled with authority; an authority which does not provoke rebellion; an obedience demanded which is most cheerfully rendered-which would not be withheld even if it might.

Even if you had a bad day today, it can be used to strengthen you for the very purpose you where destined to do. Let the pain go and do it's work . it has purpose. (James 1:2-4) Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

What a beautiful picture we have of the first man who was so carefully constructed by God from the dust of the earth.. (that the Lord Himself had created). And having formed and fashioned the man that He had made, God breathed His own breath-of-life in to Adam's lifeless form, and Adam became a living being - made in the image and likeness of God - with a mind to think, emotions to feel and a will to make freewill choices. Adam was created to be God's representative on earth and to have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air and every living thing that was on the earth. He named all the creatures that God had made, worked in the garden that God had provided - and enjoyed the beautiful environment that God had created. But it was not good that the man whom God had created was to live alone.. and despite his glorious surroundings, Adam recognized his own solitude. And so God made a suitable helper to share his life.. a helpmeet that corresponded to Adam's need.. a woman that would compliment Adam's position of ruler in God's creation - She was to be his helper. She was to be all that Adam lacked in his loneliness and together they would become one flesh and live together in loving unity. Together they would abide in spiritual union. Together they would be joined in a perfect marriage that was overseen by God - for from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female, man and wife - to be united together, as one. That is why 'a man will leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two will become one flesh - therefore we are told, what God has joined together, man must never separate.

You didn’t deserve His love but He gave it to you anyway. God since the beginning of time has been chasing after you and desiring a relationship with you. Today you can give thanks to God. Your life might not be perfect. Things might not always turn out as you’d hoped, but regardless of what you see around you, what God has done for you is a reason to give thanks. God is good and his love endures forever. God isn’t going to get tired of you one day. His love is for you and it’s forever. That’s good news. Today, choose to spend some time giving God thanks. Thank Him for His great plan to rescue you from sin. Thank Him for His love that never gave up on you. Tell God how great it is to know Him and to be His child. We have a lot of trouble really and honestly giving thanks for things. For the most part I think it is because we feel that we are owed it, that we deserve it and nothing could be farther from the truth. We are owed nothing, and we deserve nothing. All of us are fallen sinners, all of us have our own personal foibles and faults. We know that “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Rom 3:23) and that we really do not deserve the mercies and graces that God gives to us each day. We quote Romans 3:23 a lot, but how often do we continue on with the next verse? “and are justified by His grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,” It was an undeserved gift, grace and mercy showered down on us event though we deserve the wages of sin, death. The world owes us nothing but pain and misery. Siddhartha Gautama, the Buddha and founder of Buddhism taught that all life is transient and suffering. Christ taught that life has permanence and can be lived in joy despite the trials and suffering we may receive at the hands of men. “Every good gift and every perfect ([a]free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse].” (James 1:17AMP) We can look about us, at every aspect of our lives and see those good and perfect gifts that God has given us. We have a roof over our heads despite not building it, we have food to eat despite not growing it. We have jobs and employment, a source of income. We have health and maybe the worst we have to deal with right now is a winter cold while others in the world are dealing with Cholera, polio, and whooping cough. We have cars and bikes available to us for transportation while the majority of the world must walk. We had the chance for higher education, we have machines that wash our clothes and our dishes without us having to spend time. We have computers, cell phones, cd players, and game machines! We have a postal service that delivers mail in a timely manner, and does not open or steal from the packages,. We have public servants who are not blatantly corrupt. We have so very much in our lives to be thankful for. We are blessed! We are very blessed indeed! As we enjoy our Thanksgiving this year, lets start to think about things we can be thankful for. There is so much that we can be thankful for too, everything around is can be a reminder. We are not owed anything, we do not deserve anything, but we have it none the less. In actuality, We owe Him and He deserves our thanks! His grace, His mercy, His love flows out over us- not just in our salvation, but in every aspect our lives! This week, lets think about all those blessings in our lives that God has given us, and lets give thanks for even the most basic of them!
Thanks to God for my Redeemer,
Thanks for all Thou dost provide!
Thanks for times now but a memory,
Thanks for Jesus by my side!
Thanks for pleasant, balmy springtime,
Thanks for dark and stormy fall!
Thanks for tears by now forgotten,
Thanks for peace within my soul!
Prayer:
THANK YOU LORD!
Today we honor You Lord in a great way and we thank You Lord for who you are as our God, the Sovereign God of the universe. Thank You Lord for your everlasting love, grace, mercy and kindness towards undeserving humanity, including myself. Lord, we thank You for You are, have been and will forever be good, faithful, loving and kind towards your people. Grateful am I Lord to You this day and the rest of my life! People of God, the Lord our God has been good to us and I pray that your day includes a continual opening of your mouth unto the Lord your God from the fruit of your lips for ALL He has and is still doing in our life and the lives of our family and friends. Oh, give thanks unto the Lord for He is good, yes He is good!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!
God bless.
