Jesus asked a foundational question? Who do you say that I am? There were many assumptions and answers in that day and time period. Many said He was John the Baptist, Jeremiah, Elijah or one of the prophets but there was only one that gave the correct answer and that answer was Peter and he correctly stated that He was the Christ, the Son of God Matthew 16:16-18
Even today there are many assumptions and answers for who Jesus and several different interpretations. Mormons say that Jesus is Satan's spirit brother. Jehovah's Witnesses and Seventh Day Adventists say He is Michael the Archangel. Muslims say He's an Islamic Prophet but not the Son of God or God and did not die on the cross for sin and resurrect. Hindus say that He's a Hindu guru. Liberals say He was a tolerant hippie that preached world peace. (Jesus said He did not come to bring peace but a sword of division. Matthew 10:34-36) Or a man that talked all about love and happiness all the time and never rebuked sin and saves people to sin instead of from sin. (Jesus rebuked sin all the time. Jesus came to save us and take away our sins.) There are even many cult leaders out there that claim they are Jesus.
But after all these answers there is only one answer that is correct and it's the same answer that it was back then. Jesus is simply the Christ or the Messiah. He's the Son of God, God in the flesh and any other deviation from this is a heresy. Jesus warned that in the last days there would be many false Christs:
Matthew 24:24
King James Version
24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
The Bible says that there is another Jesus:
"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."
-2 Corinthians 11:4
and these religions are teaching another Jesus and a false Christ that leads to hell.
Be very careful who you listen to and what they say. Anyone that teaches against what the Bible says about who Jesus is and what He taught is preaching a different Jesus. Stay away from anyone that denies the Sonship or Deity of Christ, or teaches against what He did for us, or says He isn't the Messiah and did not come in the flesh, (anyone who says He isn't the Messiah or came in the flesh is antichrist 2 John 7) or says He is a created being or an angel, or says He allows for sin and run away from anyone claiming to be Jesus. Jesus is not a created being or an angel He is God Hebrews 1, and the promised Savior and the Messiah and He does not allow sin. Jesus hates sin and anyone that reads the New Testament knows this.
If you've been following a different Jesus you may be following Satan in disguise which means you're lost but the real Jesus will forgive you because He died on the cross for your sins and rose again and you'll be forgiven if you repent and believe in the true Christ.

Many people profess to be Christian. Here's my question, why are you a Christian? I'm sure many of you don't know. There's probably only very few of you that actually know why. You say well you were r... View More

I guess I’m in the dark. I’ve never heard of this teaching. It’s really out there.
Today I'm going to be talking about the Godhead due to several people I came in contact with that denied the Godhead being triune. This will explain the Godhead and answer misconceptions against it. First of all I don't call God "The Trinity," but I agree with the concept of the Trinity meaning that I believe that God is one God and three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit but the term that I use is 'Godhead' instead of Trinity and the reason is because it's most biblical. So just for reference whenever I talk about the Godhead I'm referring to the Trinity. The word Godhead is used about three times in the KJV and is referring to the divine nature of God.
In Christianity the doctrine of the Godhead teaches that God is one God and three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christianity is unique because it is the only trinitarian monotheistic religion. Other monotheistic religions are Unitarian which mean they believe that God is only one person such as Muslims and Jews. Most of them also deny the Deity of Christ which means they don't believe Jesus is God. But Christians believe in the triune Godhead and the Deity of Christ. According to scripture Jesus Christ is God and the second person of the Godhead The Word made flesh
First of all you can't explain everything about God because God is beyond the human imagination and the mind and we can't understand or comprehend everything about God. We don't fully understand how God could be three persons but still just one God and yet we know its true from scripture because we see examples in scripture that they are distinct from each other so we believe it by faith. However, even though we can't understand everything about God we can try to better understand by the things we see in nature because Romans 1 teaches that God has revealed His Godhead in nature. That's why in Acts 17 the Apostle Paul told the greeks that they were ignorantly worshipping God because the Godhead has revealed itself to all of us in someway. We just don't see the full picture because it's been tainted by ignorance and Idolatry because of sin. We know that we see meaning triune things in nature such as a triangle having three sides and just being one shape. A country can have multiple states and provinces but just one country. We have a spirit, soul, and body but are just one entity. It's not exactly like the Godhead but it's a similar concept. The point is that it's triune.
Many religions such as Muslims, Jews, and Oneness Pentecostals accuse Christians of not being monotheistic but thats not true. Christianity is a monotheistic religion. We believe in the same Jewish scriptures of the Old Testament as Jews that there's only one God. The New Testament also teaches theres only one God 1 Corinthians 8:6, 1 Timothy 2:5. The Godhead doesn't teach that there are three gods. It teaches that is one God that's three distinct persons. That may be a little hard to understand for some but that goes back to what I was saying earlier about God being hard to understand. The Jewish scriptures of the Old Testament also teach that God is triune. In Genesis 1 God says let us make man in our image in the plural. In Psalms it says the Lord said to my Lord sit on my right hand until I make your enemies your footstool Psalm 110:1. That basically means that the Old Testament Jews were trinitarian. It just was just made more clear in the New Testament.
There are many scriptures that teach a triune Godhead. For example, scripture teaches that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all three distinct and yet also one as God. The Son prays to the Father Luke 23:34. Jesus calls the Spirit 'another comforter," John 14:16 Jesus calls His Father another witness John 8:18. During the baptism of Jesus they hear the voice of the Father saying "This is my beloved Son in who I am well pleased," and the Spirit descend from heaven as a dove Matthew 3:13-17. This shows that the Father, Son, and Spirit are all three distinct persons. In John 1:1 it says the Word was with God and the Word was God. This means Jesus was with God and yet was God showing that they are two distinct persons but still one God.
In Matthew 28 Jesus says baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In 1 John 5:7 it says there are three that bear record in heaven the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit and these three are one which means three persons that are the same God.
Many cults and false religions deny the Godhead such as Muslims, Jews, Mormons, Unitarians, Jehovah's Witnesses, Oneness Pentecostals, etc. Oneness Pentecostals claims to be a Christian denomination and yet doesn't believe in the Godhead and teaches a heresy called Oneness also known as modalism and Saballiunism that teaches that God is three forms and three manifestations of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and intead of three persons and teach Jesus only nonsense but don't let them fool you they aren't a Christian denomination they are a damnable cult.
There are a number of problems with their view. The first problem is that their teachings goes against the scriptures I already listed. The second issue is that it's really confusing and makes absolutely no sense at all. They teach that Jesus is the Father and is also the Son of God. How can Jesus be His own Father? That's just ridiculous. They teach that its basically God doing some kind of puppet show of Himself of different forms and its really silly. They also teach that the Father became a man and suffered on the cross. That's blasphemy, heresy, and Idolatry because they're worshipping man. It's a Heresy called patripassianism which teaches the Father suffered on the cross. The Father did not suffer on the cross or the Spirit. Only the Son suffered. God is not a man either. The Father is not a man and the Spirit is not a man. Only the Son is a man. Oneness and modalism was one of the first heresies ever rejected and denounced by the Church.
There are also other cults such as Mormonism that teach that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three gods and thats another heresy called tritheism and that's another trap you don't want to get caught into because it denies scripture and also trinitarian teaching. The ironic thing is that some religions such as Mormonism criticize the Godhead because it's monotheistic. Other Religions such as Unitarians, Jews, Muslims, and Oneness Pentecostals criticize the Godhead because they think it's not monotheistic even though it is. Most Unitarians, Jews, and Muslims don't even believe that Jesus is God and anyone that doesn't believe Jesus is God is not saved because the Bible teaches that He is God.
If you reject the Godhead you are not saved and you're on your way to hell and your soul is in grave danger. If you have read this and you still don't believe in the Godhead you're even more accountable and you need to repent and believe the truth. Stay away from false religions and cults that deny the Godhead, such as Oneness Pentecostalism, Islam, Orthodox Judaism, Mormonism, and Unitarian Denominations. If you are in these religions they will lead you to hell. You need to come out of these religions right away and stop attending their Churches and services. I say this for your own good and I'm warning you for your safety. I want whats best for you.

I am a sinner turned saint. I had my Testimony shared on my Facebook notes app but Facebook took the notes app away so I am going to be re sharing on this blog. I feel that testimonies are a very powerful thing and bring glory to God. This testimony is not about myself but what God has done in my life.
I'm often known in my community as being what they call a "Bible thumper," but truth be told given my past history I used to be a completely different person that I am now. When I first converted it shocked a majority of my community and my peers. I used to be known as wild and crazy.
When I was a kid I was raised in a Church very briefly and even sang in the choir but me and my family all stopped going to Church. I went to public school for many years of my life where I was exposed to drugs and many secular evolutionary ideas that I embraced even if I rejected others of them. I always believed in God and I've always considered myself Christian but I wasn't truly living for the Lord.
I used to be known as a trouble making teen that went to parties and got drunk and high. I lived in sexual immorality and played women which often led to heart break and heart people. I also had a background in the occult and got tangled with witchcraft, ghost hunting, and ouja boards and other demonic influences and I did poor in school.
When I was in my teens it wasn't long before I got mixed with the wrong crowd and started to experiment with drugs and substances. At first I enjoyed it. I liked the way that it made me feel. I wanted to live what they call "young life," and have fun and a good time and have a blast while I'm young and I liked the way the substances made me feel and I liked going to parties but it wasn't long before I saw the darkside of drugs.
One of my friends who I had took pills with overdosed right in front of me and got sent to the hospital. He almost lost his life but by the grace and mercy of God survived. That really shook me up and made me think twice about doing drugs. Soon the drugs I did started giving me terrible anxiety and depression issues even to the point where I considered suicide. One time I had a panic attack and went to the hospital. I felt depressed in my life and I felt I had no direction and purpose.
One day when I was walking home from school a man handed me a New Testament and I heard the gospel presented to me from a preacher on TV. At first I was reluctant to become a Christian because I didn't like the whole concept of "living for Jesus," and I didn't see myself doing it because I didn't want to give up the drugs because I thought I was giving up my "fun," and ruining my life but I began slowly reading the New Testament and I started to become convicted about my lifestyle and I knew conversion wouldn't be easy but necessary for my salvation and it was the best thing to do.
Finally one day when I was about 17 in 2012 I surrendered my life to Jesus Christ as my Lord. I repented and changed and cleaned up my life from the drugs and the evil and I got born again. My peers and family were in shock and disbelief on how radically different I was. I was a whole new person. I began getting criticism and persecution from peers and family but for the first time in my life I truly experienced what joy was and I was no longer depressed and anxious and I have fun being a Christian. I'll tell you that my journey and experience as being a born again Christian these past 8 or 9 years hasn't been easy. I've had a lot of difficulties and seasons of trouble and trial, struggles and many other things in between but it's well worth it and making that decision was the best thing in my life because now my life has purpose and my faith in Christ is my rock and my foundation to get through life.
If you haven't been born again please repent and put your faith in Christ today and convert to Christianity and be born again. It's a decision you won't regret.
