Christopher Dedert Crazy? Maybe a little. I’d say more of setting yourself up for disappointment. If you just want to take notes and have touchscreen support, why not get a Samsung tablet with a pen? Or even (gasp) a base model iPad and Apple Pencil?

So, I thought I would try something else before overhauling the whole OS. I installed KDE Plasma and made it the default. So far it is working better than Gnome. Time will tell, I just did it last night.

Christopher Dedert The DE always depended on the OS flavor in my experience. For example, Manjaro with Gnome was fantastic, but Manjaro with KDE sucked. However, Arch with KDE was great, but Arch with Gnome wasn't.
