Add that with God's blessing of discernment, and cross referencing things, I still believe that I receive God's Word as intended. Some things are drastically changed like: Psalms 92:10 [10]But you have made me as strong as a wild ox. You have anointed me with the finest oil. Psalms 92:10 (KJV) But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. This verse has changed unicorn to wild ox. 🙄...😄 Plus some people say verses are missing by said translations. But really, the message is there it's been shortened by tact, and discretion of definition. The Bible wasn't broken down into verses or chapters until just a few centuries ago. The chapter divisions commonly used today were developed by Stephen Langton, an Archbishop of Canterbury. Langton put the modern chapter divisions into place in around A.D. 1227. The Wycliffe English Bible of 1382 was the first Bible to use this chapter pattern. Since the Wycliffe Bible, nearly all Bible translations have followed Langton’s chapter divisions. The Hebrew Old Testament was divided into verses by a Jewish rabbi by the name of Nathan in A.D. 1448. Robert Estienne, who was also known as Stephanus, was the first to divide the New Testament into standard numbered verses, in 1555. Stephanus essentially used Nathan’s verse divisions for the Old Testament. Since that time, beginning with the Geneva Bible, the chapter and verse divisions employed by Stephanus have been accepted into nearly all the Bible versions. Some say that KJV is the "True" Bible. If that's so, then why are several chapters removed from the Eastern Orthodox and Catholic versions to consummate the TRUE Bible? Anyhow, it really comes down to a relationship with Jesus, and our desire to read The Word, and less about who's right or which version is correct. Now the Chinese communist version has changed theirs to read that Jesus was a sinner and a murderer. 😳 Yeah, and this Pope of the Catholic church signed off on it. So, some versions aren't correct in the world. If you have a relationship with Jesus, you're going to see the Truth between the lies. Pray about it and give it to God, walk away and let Him handle it. If you watch some foreign news, you'll see that the Wrath of God has visited China, and is currently still their. 😱 That's why they have a firewall of propaganda and disinformation, to hide the fact that they have defied God, and also that they are being corrected for doing so.
