AMERICA and ISRAEL in BIBLE Prophecy The Christian Heritage of THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - Part 9 AMERICA IS EPHRAIM AMERICA: The Western State of Israel By: Tommie Spurgeon In the vision that I had God told me that he wasn’t going to destroy America because she belonged to him but he let me see the hardship that is ahead of us that is going to turn us back to him and re-establish America as a Christian nation. God has been over two thousand years bringing Ephraim to the promise that he had promised and that was to make him a mighty nation from a multitude of Gentiles. America is the Ephraim State of Israel and she will fight side by side with the Jewish State of Israel during the final seven years on this earth. Isaiah 11: 13 and 14 tells that Ephraim and Judah would fly together upon the shoulders of Israel’s enemies in the last days. How do I know that it will be in the last days? Simply because, it was to happen during the days of the stem of Jesse, the Messiah Jesus. This has not happened in the past but it will happen in the future. This will not be fulfilled by a ragtag group of Israelites from the nations but will be a great company that made up the multitude of nations that God promised to Ephraim by Jacob himself. America will help Israel defeat their enemies before Jesus comes back. In order for this to happen America will have to repent so that God will be with us. There are other preachers that believe the same as I do about America being the fulfillment of Jacob’s prophecy to Ephraim and because of that some believe that we are in grave danger of being invaded by Gog and Magog before it is all over. They say this believing that we are the other Israel. Which Israel are they going to invade? The Israel in Ezekiel is without walls or fences and are at peace, the Israel in the Holy Land is never at peace and is always building walls and fences and are under constant bombardment. I don’t know if they are right or not but if they are, we are headed for a horrible storm. All I know is that before it is all over that out of ashes of troubles America is going to return to Jesus Christ with their whole heart. Americans will be proud once again to speak the name of Jesus in public and the public will approve. I hope that this blesses you as much as it blesses me. When Jacob crossed his arms to give Ephraim his inheritance and make him first-born it was very prophetic. It prophesied of something that would take place at the cross when Jesus was crucified. Manasseh was symbolic in that he was actually the first-born of Joseph but when Jacob crossed his arms he changed that and made Ephraim the younger the first-born. This was to symbolize what would happen at the cross of Jesus. Up until the time Jesus was crucified salvation was to be to the Jew first then the Gentile. The Jews were confident that they were the elect of God and had nothing to fear with their standing with him. However Jesus told them in LUKE 13:28-30 that many of them would be cast out of the kingdom into darkness and that many would come from the north, south, east and west and sit down in Kingdom of God with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He then said that the last would be first and that the first would be last. In other words that Gentiles would come from all of the directions of the compass and be first to be saved and that the Jews in Judea would be the last to receive salvation. This is exactly what happened at the cross. From there because of the hateful rejection that Jesus received from the Jews, they said let his blood be upon us and our children, he turned to the Gentiles through Ephraim. When Jesus turned to the Gentiles it was the beginning of the birth of Ephraim to become a multitude of nations. Just as Joseph received a Gentile bride among the Gentiles Jesus received a Gentile bride and in doing so Ephraim would fulfill his destiny through the Gentiles. This began happening with the preaching of the twelve disciples and the 120 Galileans on the day of Pentecost when the Church or the Israel of God was born. At the cross Ephraim and his multitude of nations (Gentiles) were to be a people sought out (EZEKIEL 34:12, they were to be saved. God united Ephraim and the Gentiles to become one and the same. When our founders came to this land whether with or without the DNA of Ephraim, they were the Ephraim of God and God planned it to be so. America is a Christian nation established by Christians and is the homeland of the house of Ephraim in the West. We are the Western State of Israel. 2. EPHRAIM and The CHURCH in It's Infancy Where is Ephraim? According to the Word of God Ephraim was to be given a very prosperous nation to become like a mighty man having a double portion of God’s blessings. It cannot be the nation of Israel in the Holy Land because the Bible said that there would not be enough room for them. It is supposed to be a strong enough people that it will be able to join with Israel against its enemies as a noticeable partner in the end time. Where is Ephraim? We know that God is not a liar. Has Ephraim been forgotten? Ephraim was to become a multitude of nations that were to be a promise to him, where is he? I will do my best to answer that. The reason you do not see Ephraim in the flesh today and do not recognize him is because Ephraim is Spiritual. He is a mystery, just as Jesus was a mystery hidden in the Old Testament and revealed in the world when he came and was crucified, Ephraim is a mystery hidden from our view until these last days. Now we are to know who and where Ephraim is. As the people of Israel began to realize who their Messiah was they recognized that he was right in front of their eyes, Jesus, the son of Joseph and Mary. Ephraim is right in front of our eyes today and it is the Church, the Israel of God. All Christians are Ephraim or the Israel of God and are scattered all over the world. The Jews are still in many nations of world yet that had to have a homeland for the Jews. The homeland for the Jews is the nation of Israel in the Middle East. The homeland for Ephraim or the Church is America. Both nations are a type of refuge until Jesus returns. Then he will be the refuge for all. In order to understand this mystery we must first realize that the Church of Jesus Christ has become joined together with Israel in its promises and commonwealth. The promise was the promise of redemption and all the promises that were associated with Jesus Christ. In this promise the Church, Jew and Gentile were included into the commonwealth of Israel. The Kingdom of God was the promised nation that was to become the commonwealth of all of Israel that is those that were born again by the Spirit of God. This is explained in Ephesians the second chapter. EPHESIANS 2:11 -- Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12: That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14: For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16: And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: 17: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18: For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. 19: Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; 20: And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; It is very easy to understand what the covenant of promise was if we have been born again. It is simply having Jesus as Lord and Savior, which was promised to Israel coming to them in the person of Messiah. That all that believes on him would be eternally saved. The commonwealth of Israel is a little different because we do not use this word very often. In Ephesians the word "commonwealth" is defined in Strong’s Concordance as the following. It is found in the Greek section of the Concordance and is the word "Politeia" in Greek. It simply has three meanings they are the following: 1. The administration of civil affairs. 2. A state or commonwealth. 3. Citizenship, the rights of a citizen. In the American Standard Dictionary it means simply a body politic, a nation, citizenship. We as Christians have become a part of the nation of Israel through the promise of Abraham and joint heirs with Israel in their promises and citizenship. We haven’t replaced Israel but have simply been joined together with them and have become one with those that are born again. But we have been joined with them in Christ through a particular promise that was made to Joseph’s house through Jacob to Ephraim. There is nothing wrong with saying that we are part of Spiritual Israel but to say that we are Spiritual Jews is totally wrong and I will explain this to you.
