How to Gain Wisdom from God & Withstanding the Pressure

Technology constantly requires us to get smarter. A single remote control operates our TV, the DVR, the lights, and the ceiling fan. We maintain friendships on social media, and we have computer screens in our cars.

However, are all these skills making us wiser?

In 1 Kings 3, Solomon followed the instructions of his father David, and because his actions showed he loved the Lord, God appeared to him in a dream. God said, “Ask me whatever you want, and it will be yours.”

Solomon asked for only one thing: wisdom. God was pleased and gave him wisdom plus the things he didn’t ask for: wealth and honor.

Your children may be showing you how to run the remote control. You see Facebook is constantly reinventing itself to make itself “easier for use”. Our cars sometimes talk to us, explaining how to operate themselves.

What tells us how to make ourselves wiser though?
